Extension Chord, Buffalo Grass Boys and James Van Cooper
Welcome to one of the world's great haunts. A transportive experience into the eye of all things Rye Whiskey and world-class Country. Plus three great acts from the solo stomp of Americana upstart, James Van Cooper (7pm), to the good-time guys of Buffalo Grass Boys (8pm), and into the Cowpunk chaos of Sydney City's most outrageous, Extension Chord! (9pm + 10pm).
Shady Pines Saloon is an oldskool Honky Tonk at the hip end of town. A trailblazing venue which launched a Renaissance of small bars, whiskey appreciation and utterly non pretentious service in Sydney. You won't find friendlier service anywhere on Planet Earth. The Rye runs rich, the globes burn dim and the bands bow to the altar of Outlaw Country, Americana and deep Southern stomp. Free entry at all times. Happy hours 4-6. Bands 7-11.
Sydney has an excellent public transport network and you can get to all of the Sydney Solstice precincts by bus, train, light rail or ferry. Parking will be limited at most festival venues, so we recommend you travel by public transport rather than driving. Check out our Transport section for more information.
