About: Part of Accor’s MGallery collection, the Porter House Hotel enlivens the cityscape by gently blending a revived 1800s heritage-listed façade with a new, modern tower next door. From award-winning architect Angelo Candalepas of Candalepas Associates, the hotel is a homage to its history, which was once home to leather and furniture makers, among other occupants. Modern touches come from the fitness centre, rooftop swimming pool, and digital valley plus a brassiere, diner and wine bar. 
Inside: The 122-room hotel keeps they style of the block’s history. You’ll find archways, subtle ornate panelling and nods to bygone styles throughout. The rooms are styled with subtlety, blending soft colours and metals with marble, leather, and wood. Tap into the city’s energy by co-mingling with Sydneysiders at delicatessen Henry’s Bread and Wine, brasserie Dixson and Sons, and Spice Trader cocktail bar. 
Location: The hotel’s Castlereagh Street position places you in the city centre. Steps away from Hyde Park, Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall Station.

About: Inspired by Palm Beach’s aesthetic and lifestyle, the boutique hotel is styled with minimalist tones, bold artworks, and bespoke craftmanship. Upstairs there's an exclusive rooftop pool and bar, and downstairs a public diner.  
Inside: The 56-room hotel features bold interior stylings with contemporary sculptures, prints and photography. All the materials in the room are custom made or sourced from quality makers – bespoke bathrobes, Marc Newson crockery and Grown Alchemist care products are just some. The sun-bathed terrace pool features a DJ on weekends, and a refined but relaxed all-day restaurant by Tyler Preston mixes classic hotel dining with all of the cultural influences of Sydney. 
Location: Set amid the vibrant neighbourhood of Paddington with its fashion boutiques, hip homewares stores and tucked-in cafes, Oxford House is angled toward the best of Sydney’s curated design offerings and is just a skip away from the city. 
In the know: The hotel’s art has been curated by celebrated designer George Gorrow and features artists such as Lena Gustafson, Adam Turnbull and Niah McLeod.

Capella Sydney

About: Reawakening the long-dormant heritage-listed Lands and Educations Building, Capella Sydney will launch as a grand, luxury hotel in the heart of the CBD, bringing guests within its golden sandstone façade for the first time ever. The first Capella hotel to come to Australia, Sydney’s edition aims to immerse guests in the city’s culture, melt their stress away at the hotel’s wellness space, and showcase Australia’s famed produce at the hotel’s three distinct venues.  
Inside:  Originally designed by architect George McRae in the Edwardian Baroque style, the meticulous restoration and transformation was reimagined by Make Architects. The foyer is draped in marble; the 192 guestrooms feature high ceilings and plenty of natural light; and its drinking and dining venues – McRae Bar, Aperture and Brasserie 1930 – are a nod to the grandeur and glamour of the Victorian era.  
Location: Capella Sydney is in the centre of Sydney’s CBD, just a five-minute walk from the transport hub of Circular Quay. 
In the know:  A remnant of the building’s former life, a series of overhead copper-lined heritage lanterns illuminate the wellness space, which features a 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool, high-tech fitness centre, yoga platform, an Auriga Spa and more.

Moxy Sydney Airport

About: Moxy is Marriott’s more contemporary and edgy brand, and it’s soon to land at Sydney Airport, giving travellers an affordable but less predictable airport stay. Designed by MAED. COLLECTIVE and Group GSA, the hotel’s design delivers spaces made for relaxation or work.  
Inside: Pre- and post-flight lodgings at the 301-room hotel issue a boarding pass to hip, industrial-style designed rooms and an all-day menu from the on-site café. The front desk does double-time as the welcoming and lively Moxy Bar and guests can ease layover lag at the fitness centre and by freshening up with guest laundry facilities.  
Location: Set on Baxter Road, a short hop from the domestic terminals. It’s also close enough to easily service international arrivals from T1. 
In the know: The Moxy brand is all about collaborative convenience with their co-working, meeting and event spaces on-site to make productive use of lengthy flight connections.

W Sydney

About: A subset of the Marriot hotel brand, W Hotels are renowned for their deliberate dismantling of the usual notions of luxury, replacing them with eye-popping interiors based off a New York fashion and design aesthetic, where the brand first started. Sydney's outpost will include the game-changing Whatever/Whenever service (an innovative program that guarantees guests get what they want), and spaces designed for social connection.  
Inside: The new-build hotel is part of attention-snatching development, The Ribbon, which is wedged between two arterial roads in Sydney’s magnetic Darling Harbour. Glimmering and undulating like a giant, mesmerising bubble, the building is already a contemporary icon making it a perfect match for the W brand. Inside the vast, 25-floor, 585-room hotel, guests will find an NY-style cocktail bar, an infinity pool that looks onto the harbour, a restaurant, a gym, and a revamp of the old IMAX theatre.  
Location: Built on the site of Sydney’s former IMAX theatre at Darling Harbour, W Sydney emerges skywards beside the water. It’s not far from the ICC Sydney, Chinatown and the SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Pullman Hotel Penrith

About: The new five-star Pullman Hotel Penrith will provide Western Sydney with luxury, business and entertainment. A collaboration between Accor and the Penrith Panthers precinct, the heart of the NRL team, the hotel will connect to the new Western Sydney Conference Centre and provide a stylish base from which to explore the nearby Blue Mountains. 
Inside: The upscale 153-room property has been designed to accommodate both business and leisure travellers and rounds out the Penrith Panthers precinct to become a true entertainment hub. Guests will enjoy an on-site restaurant and bar, complete with private dining rooms, as well as a ground floor café. 
Location: The hotel sits between the Nepean River and the hub of Penrith, around the central train station. Just an hour from the CBD and easy access point to visit the beautiful Blue Mountains, the Pullman will a blend of urban excitement and bush-side bliss.  
In the know: Watch this space – with the new Western Sydney International Airport set to open in 2026, Penrith is set for a huge transformation.

25hours Paddington

About: Accor’s Euro-centric and sleek 25hours brand is set to open a luxury hotel in the elegant 1911-era, heritage-listed building at the western end of Sydney’s iconic Oxford Street. Right amongst the suburb’s high-end fashion boutiques and award-winning restaurants. 
Inside: Renowned Sydney architects Tonkin Zulaikha Greer have designed the space to house the 105-room lifestyle-oriented hotel, which also features a destination restaurant, retail shops, conference rooms, a fitness centre, a lush interior garden, and a rooftop bar that shows the nightly spectacles of the Sydney skyline. While Sydney’s Acme and Co will be designing the rooftop bar, and the restaurant and café interiors.  
Location: Just ten minutes’ wander from the city centre, 25hours Paddington enlivens the CBD side of the famous Sydney suburb, providing easy access to the Sydney’s SCG and Allianz stadium, the dining scene of Surry Hills and the CBD’s business district.
